Proves the sunshine, Switchfoot, Nothing is sound

Sunshine, won't you be my mother
Sunshine, come and help me sing
My heart is darker than these oceans
My heart is frozen underneath

We are crooked souls trying to stay up straight,
Dry eyes in the pouring rain well
The shadow proves the sunshine
The shadow proves the sunshine

To scared that I'll run always
Hold fast to the break of day light were
The shadow proves the sunshine

Oh Lord, why did you forsake me?
Oh Lord, don't be far away away
Storm clouds gathering beside me
Please Lord, don't look the other way

Crooked souls trying to stay up straight
Dry eyes in the pouring rain well
The shadow proves the sunshine
The shadow proves the sunshine

To scared that I'll run always
Hold fast to the break of day light were
The shadow proves the sunshine
The shadow proves the sunshine

Yeah Yeah, shine on me
Yeah Yeah, shine on me
Yeah Yeah, shine on me
Yeah Yeah, shine on me

Crooked souls trying to stay up straight
Dry eyes in the pouring rain well
The shadow proves the sunshine
The shadow proves the sunshine

To scared that I'll run always
Hold fast to the break of day light were
The shadow proves the sunshine
The shadow proves the sunshine

Yeah Yeah, shine on me
Yeah Yeah, shine on me
Yeah Yeah, shine on me

Shine on me,
Shadow proves the sunshine

who am I?

Friday, December 22, 2006

Praise God, He has provided a way, I'm going home. Please pray for safe travels. And thank you everyone, especially Des for your Christ like spirit and patience with me lately, you are a great friend. :)

Well, I'm sitting here in my room trying to be thankful and trust that God knows all and that He knows what is best for me. Unfortunately due to the snow storm in Colorado, my flight at 8:15 A.M. tomorrow morning has been canceled. I'm trying not to feel sorry for myself because that would be stupid and a waste of all of our time. I'm not asking for your sympathy comments, because honestly I know it would only encourage me to feel more sorry for myself. I need all of your insightful thoughts on how to be thankful and full of cheer. :) I haven't seen my family all together since last May, and now... if I don't get a rescheduled flight and able to come back by next Wednesday, I may not be able to get to visit them untill next June, yes, over a year. I miss them, and I do alright but after this long, I'm ready to see them. I'll be ok, I still have a room over my head, money for food, and a vehicle that isn't stuck in a 5 foot drift of snow. I also have electric and heat and get to sleep on a comfy bed, unlike the poor thousands who get to sleep on the comfy hard floor of Denver International Airport, and believe me, I had to do it in 2000 for two nights, and it was NOT fun. I have a lot to be thankful for and need to simply be greatful with what I have.

Well.... thats it. I haven't fully come to the realization that I'm done with the semester, but I am. I also cannot fully grasp that I don't have any more music theorey classes to take. Although I am a lot more relaxed than I use to ever be able to be at this time of year. I think I might actually have a really nice break, I'm looking forward to it. Also, I'm moving into a pretty sweet new pad with practically everything new. New Carpet, New paint, Newer deck to a huge backyard, new countertops in the bathrooms, new toilets, new railings, new everything, except the kitchen cabinetts, which could use it but are ok. I even think the stove and dishwasher are new. Oh, I'm so excited, we haven't had a dishwasher this entire last year, it'll be sooooo nice. We are soo blessed. We aren't doing this on our own though, God has blessed us, and we KNOW it. Thank you God and may ALL honor, glory and power and praise be given unto HIM!
